Hi again, Natacha here!
To round out LFW, I was honored to attend the Anya Hindmarch, queen of leather, presentation. Her show was not only beautiful but also incredibly original. After 7,559 hours of work, 50,000 dominos, 1,356 cups of tea, and 35 mouse traps her show, entitled Cascade, was finally able to come to life.

The stage, which was situated inside a London garage, was framed by a human boundary to protect the delicate architecture.

To start, the lights switched off and on as the first domino plunged into motion—an infinite cascade of colored dominos. They fell one by one revealing the new bags of the designer. The result was a playful catwalk, creative—all joyful in tune with the LFW.

My stay in London has come to an end, and if I ever said London rhymed with rain I take it back as the weather was wonderful! Sun equals a long lasting blow-dry :)
Speak to you soon, from Milan this time! x Natacha

Bonjour!
Natacha here, as the AW13 runway-show marathon continues! On the agenda, deciphering of two iconic British brands: Temperley and Burberry Prorsum.

Burberry Prorsum: A walk on the wild side
Welcome to the age of the revitalized trench coat, where sleeves are given a makeover with leopard prints and metal belts cinching-in waists to add shape. Burberry also incorporated hearts, snake and giraffe prints, bold red hues, and some heavy metal detail into its catwalk. Christopher Bailey never disappoints.
An amazing touch to the show: the runway was brought to life with a concert from British singer Tom Odell as models walked.

Temperley London: Revisiting romance
At Temperley the mood was cozy and sophisticated—the minute we arrived waiters in white gloves were ready to serve, offering tea and biscuits. So British! The show took place in the magnificent ballroom of the Dorchester hotel. The tapestries and ornaments fit in perfectly with the Temperley universe.
Key elements: flowy cream stripes, glimmering metallic varieties and classic neutrals that reveal a perfect alliance of innovation and glamour. A glimpse of green, cobalt plaid and a few metal embellishments topped off a feminine look with a touch of attitude.

Between shows, a little walk in the sunny London streets, with a detour to admire the hidden treasures of the Dover Street Market. For Comme des Garçons lovers or hype jewelry aficionados you now know where to go ….

Until next time, bisous! x Natacha

Hello!
My name is Natacha, I’m French but have lived in New York for a year. I am both a style writer and a fashion blogger and this week, I’m reporting on London Fashion Week for you dear Zoe Reporters! Every day I’ll be bringing you the latest from LFW—fashion, sights and the likes from across the pond.

First up: Sass&Bide. The new collection is called Wintergate, with inspiration stemming from “ a curiosity about man-made objects. We wanted to study the internal mechanics of them.”

Besides this rather technical inspiration, this line is extremely feminine. The cuts are structured and sophisticated. The sass and bide woman is mysterious, fierce and modern. The pieces of the collection are primarily black and white, balanced with small touches of yellow, that’s imposing itself as next winter’s bright color.
Next, I head to London’s film museum to catch the Antipodium show.

At Antipodium, the models, colors and fabrics were inspired by 90s pop culture: with regards to the colors, iridescent tones are paired with brighter colors like red and yellow. As for the fabrics, vinyl textures and velvets are honored. The look is young, sexy, chic, and modern.
My day ends on Oxford Street and more specifically at Topshop where the designer J.W Anderson is launching his special Topshop line.
Finally, if you’re ever in passing on the bustling streets surrounding Oxford Street, be sure to make a short Liberty stop. It’s a concept store with a typically English decor and a rather avant-garde selection…
Street style moments at Covenant Garden and Somerset House—one of the best parts of any fashion week!

See you tomorrow for the rest of my London adventures,
Bisous! x Natacha
